Baguio City — Fifteen graduates of Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary are now Licensed Professional Teachers (LPT), according to data released by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) and the Board of Professional Teachers (BPT) last December 5 — foundation anniversary of the Order.
Of the 15 alumni LET passers, 11 are presently coristas or simple professed religious members of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno (Philippines) of the Order of Augustinian Recollects (OAR). They are now in the next stage of formation as theology seminarians of the Recoletos School of Theology in Quezon City.

Apart from taking Philosophy, institutional, and general education courses, the college seminarians of Casiciaco also take professional education classes to better prepare them for future educational apostolates such as school administration, teaching, evangelizing and catechizing.
They need to be equipped with the necessary skills related to teaching, evangelization and mission works as the Order in the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno also administers to 8 schools (2 of which are universities and 3 are colleges).
This year’s licensure examinations for teachers were administered by the PRC last Sept. 30, 2018 in testing centers all over the country, Hong Kong and Thailand.
The PRC said that out of 126,582 secondary school teachers who took the exams, 60,803 (48.03%) passed. Issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card will be done for one month, from Dec. 17, 2018 to Jan. 18, 2019, the PRC added.
